The Punjab School Admission

The Punjab School Admission is opened now. Admission Criteria is as below.

Nursery Class

The main induction to the school education is through Nursery class. Registration for The Punjab School admission to Nursery class remains open in January. The admission test is usually held in February / March and classes start in April. The admission to Nursery class is granted purely on the child’s performance in scholastic aptitude test/interview. The child’s age, on 1st April of the year of admission, should be between 4 and 5 years.

Prep and Class I

The Punjab School Admission is granted on the basis of merit determined by written tests and interviews held in mid-March. The students are tested in English, Urdu, and Mathematics. The minimum age for the child at the time of admission should be 5 years for Prep and 6 years for Class I.

Class II to and Class IX

Admissions to these classes are granted subject to availability of seats in respective classes.
Admission test for these classes is usually held in the third week of March. There is a written test in the subjects of English, Urdu, and Mathematics for admission to Classes II-V and for admission to Classes VI-VIII, the candidate will be tested in Science also. Besides the written test, students are also evaluated for proficiency in Naazira Quran. All these admissions are merit-based.
Normally no admissions to Class IX are offered. However, admissions can be granted on the basis of candidates’ performance in Annual Examination of the Class VIII held in first two weeks of March, subject to availability of seats.

The Punjab School Admission Procedure

The candidate for The Punjab School Admission has got to be registered with the school. The admission procedure starts as soon as the parents fill in the Registration Form which is available from the Fee Section. The school prospectus and syllabus for the admission test will be provided by the Fee Section at the time of registration.
Registration for admission does not, in any way, ensure admission to a particular class. The school reserves the right to reject applications without assigning any reason. Students qualifying the written tests and interviews are issued admission forms by the heads of respective schools.
A student who wants to migrate from another school must furnish a transfer certificate, last progress report and a receipt of school fee duly paid in the previous school at the time of admission. In case of fresh admission, a birth certificate issued by the NADRA or the concerned Local Bodies office must be attached.
